Dr. Matthews has been a dedicated medical professional since 1997, having earned her medical degree from the University of Washington. After completing an internship in General Surgery, she transitioned to Family Medicine in 2004, where she focused on comprehensive, patient-centered care.

In October 2022, Dr. Matthews experienced a concussion, which impacted her ability to work on a computer for extended periods. As a result, she pivoted her practice to a more procedural focus and opened Eudaimonia Medical Spa.

The name “Eudaimonia” is derived from the Greek philosopher Aristotle and is often translated as “happiness” or “flourishing.” However, in Aristotelian ethics, Eudaimonia refers to the pursuit of a well-lived life, a state of being characterized by fulfillment, virtue, and long-term well-being, rather than temporary happiness. Dr. Matthews’ mission is to help each individual achieve their own sense of Eudaimonia, guiding them toward optimal health and personal fulfillment.
